About two weeks ago, we had the pleasure of working at India Community Center, where we decorated and set up the Malavalli Auditorium for Nelo and Benjamin’s wedding reception. August 30th was a gorgeous day in Milpitas; the perfect complement to a beautiful wedding day. We’ll be sharing some of the memorable moments from this special day in a future blog post.
India Community Center was a fitting venue for our lovely couple. The Malavalli Hall comfortably sat 350 guests and comes with an ample amount of dance floor space (very important for a Nigerian wedding, oh yes!). We used the stage area for the couple’s cake display, sweetheart table and chuppah (canopy).

Setting up . . . is that Ihino on the ladder?!
The lobby area doubled as the space for a cocktail hour of refreshments (including a bar) and a dinner buffet station.
The venue staff and director, Mr. Virender, were very professional and pleasant to work with. They attended to our needs and worked seamlessly with our team.
Our overall experience working at the India Community Center was a positive one. Kudos to all of the other vendors that worked on this lovely Milpitas wedding; we look forward to sharing more photos from the big day. Nelo was such a beautiful bride . . . and her dress? Oh my, you’ll just have to see for yourself. And don’t get us started with her dapper groom, Benjamin and their stunning bridal party.
Okay, no more teasing; we’ll stop here for now until we have more pictures to share. In the mean time, we’re keeping busy with some upcoming events (weddings included, yay!). This helps time go by a little faster as we anticipate the arrival of official photos from Nelo and Benjamin’s wedding. We’re not sure when we’ll post the photos here on the blog but you can get a notification when the post is up by clicking the follow button at the bottom of this page.
Now we’ll leave you with Nelo and Benjamin’s love story.
